Do the ingredients in Colonetix cleanse the colon? No--but nearly all of its ingredients are rich in soluble and insoluble fiber. Is Colonetix safe? Yes, but be careful if you have kidney disease or poor control over your bowel movements. Magnesium oxide is a prescription strength laxative, which can worsen certain aspects of the above conditions. Lactobacillus acidophilus has also been shown to increase gas production and stomach cramps.
