Prostate Health Review Does Prostate Health Work?

Prostate Health states that it is an all natural prostate health supplement made to encourage prostate health through a blend of herbs, minerals, and plant based extracts, including the tomato extract lycopene. Prostate Health specifically seems to lessen nocturnal urination, a common symptom of BPH that causes an increase in the urge of a man to urinate while sleeping. Prostate Health recommends taking one pill daily alongside other lifestyle measures for maximum results and benefits to prostate health.

Prostate Health contains selenium, zinc, he shou wou extract, saw palmetto, tomato extract (lycopene), pumpkin seed concentrate, pygeum bark and isoflavones.

Does Prostate Health Work?

It Migh. Numerous studies report that saw palmetto reduces several BPH symptoms, including nocturnal urination. It is still unsure how saw palmetto works, but has been shown to ease urinary urges, and urinary pain caused by BPH. Pumpkin and tomato concentrate, while they may have anecdotal backing for their relief of BPH symptoms, have no clinical scientific evidence proving their ability to relieve BPH symptoms. However, a possible aid to the prostate maybe given through the anti oxidant properties of pumpkin and tomato concentrate, as anti oxidants help protect the prostate from free radical damage (a leading cause of prostate tumors).

Is Prostate Health Safe?

No. He Shou Wou unfortunately is reported to cause rare, but serious damage to the liver, including such conditions as jaundice and hepatitis. Left untreated, hepatitis can even cause liver failure.

Prostate Health does contain a handful of scientifically proven ingredients for treating BPH symptoms. However these positives are mitigated by the ineffective and potentially dangerous ingredients included in this supplement as well.
