While most prostate products on the market focus on the use of Zinc and Saw Palmetto, Prost Actin, instead, uses a large amount of Vitamin E in its formula, claiming it can provide continual protection against factors that could potentially harm the prostate. Does Prost Actin Work?

Maybe, Although there is no direct evidence suggesting that Vitamin E is an effective ingredient in treating the prostate, there have been several studies done that do hint at that fact. In a study reported by WebMD.com, men who took 50 milligrams of alpha tocopherol, a type of Vitamin E, everyday reduced their risk of prostate issues by 30 to 40 percent. However, many of these studies show no conclusive evidence that links Vitamin E to reduced risk of prostate problems or symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH).

Similarly, the effects of Zinc have been known to have a similar effect on the prostate. Several studies conducted on the effects of Zinc on the prostate have shown that individuals who took less than 100mg of Zinc daily significantly reduced their prostate problem risk. As with Vitamin E, the results of the studies proved that the ingredient had no direct correlation with treatment of current prostate conditions, but showed positive results in preventing future risk of prostate problems.

While Prost Actin does contain Saw Palmetto, a common ingredient used in prostate supplements, there is not enough of it contained in the formula to make a real impact. It is true that Saw Palmetto has been proven to reduce symptoms caused by BPH, but with the amount included in the product’s formula, no noticeable results from the ingredient will be seen.
