Better Prostate Review Does Better Prostate Work

While many prostate products claim to have an endless amount of ingredients claiming to help improve and treat the prostate, often enough, these products are less effective than many would think. Better Prostate is a product that contains 17 various ingredients and also has very low levels of important compounds. One of the herbs contained in Better Prostate is an ingredient called “Butchers Broom”, and while it may sound important, it has no scientific relevance towards treating the prostate. However, the one positive aspect about this product’s weak formula is the 85% to 95% free fatty acid content that the Saw Palmetto contains, even though it only contains 50mg of it. Better Prostate is manufactured by Trim International, a company that is better known for making women’s beauty products than creating men’s health products. After comparing the below average lab results and the fact that the product is rather expensive, $69, shows that this product may not be top-of-the-line.

Better Prostate Details:

While many prostate products boast about their ability to treat and improve the prostate, one of the aspects Better Prostate advertises is its all natural and vegetarian-friendly formula. Unfortunately, this aspect has no effect on treating the prostate, but the formula does also claim that it can prevent prostate enlargement and urinary tract infections through the use of all-natural herbs and minerals including Saw Palmetto, ginseng, milk thistle and calcium. Alongside these various benefits, Better Prostate also states that it can act as an energy and health supplement as well.

Better Prostate Ingredients:

The main active ingredients included in better prostate are chromium, selenium, calcium, magnesium citrate, potassium, molybedenum and vanadyl sulfate. In addition, Better Prostate also includes 4mg of ginseng and 50mg of Saw Palmetto.

Will Better Prostate Work?

Possibly. It is true that Better Prostate contains a large number of ingredients essential for maintaining good body health such as calcium, potassium, and selenium. However, many of these ingredients do not affect prostate health, except for Saw Palmetto. The Saw Palmetto used in the formula of Better Prostate works to reduce enlargement of the prostate, improve urinary flow, reduce infections, and generally help to treat advanced prostate health. Unfortunately, in the studies that were conducted about Saw Palmetto, twice as much Saw Palmetto was used compared to the amount that is used in Better Prostate, making the amount used in the product questionable and possibly not as effective.

Aside from the lack of Saw Palmetto used in the formula, there is an additional problem with Bette Prostate’s formula, the Chromium. Based off of a recent study in Alternative and Complementary Therapies, the ingredient Chromium in supplementation of hamsters has shown and increased number of cell’ damaged chromosomes, which are found in its DNA. This significant amount of genetic damage can be potentially dangerous, and because of the problem many new controversial studies have arisen. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has, since then, lowered its recommended daily amount of Chromium from 50 to 200mcg. If users were to take Better Prostate every day, they would be exceeding the USDA’s daily recommended amount of Chromium by 50mcg. This could create many potential dangerous problems, even on the first day of use, and may not be safe to take on a daily basis.

Is Better Prostate Safe?

Probably not. Based solely on the fact that Better Prostate exceeds user daily intake for Chromium, this product is not highly recommended, or relatively safe for that matter. With the possibility to cause severe genetic problems, liver damage, kidney damage, or even death, it seems that the Chromium included in this product makes it relatively unsafe.

Although Better Prostate does do a good job of including Saw Palmetto in its formula, it unfortunately does not have an adequate amount of it in its formula to make an impact. Ultimately, this high price product does more bad than it does good. With the inclusion of high amounts of Chromium, which has been linked to a multitude of side effect such as organ failure or genetic damage, and the lack of Saw Palmetto, it seems that Better Prostate is not a very reliable prostate treatment supplement after all.
