SleepFix is an all-natural sleep aid that claims to help the body produce the hormones that aid in long, good-quality sleep, called REM sleep. They also claim it can help people fall asleep faster and stay asleep, preventing accidental wake ups during the night, which commonly occur in people suffering from insomnia. But how? SleepFix credits its all-natural formula, which doesn't contain any prescriptions sleep aids--in fact, its only key ingredients include vitamin B6, rhodiola root and 5-hydroxy tryptophan.
SleepFix contains vitamin B6, pantothenic acid, choline, rhodiola root, 5-hydroxy Tryptophan and melatonin.
None of its ingredients have been scientifically proven to promote sleep--but herbalists claim it can fight the symptoms of insomnia. According to a 2008 Australian report, herbalists claim vitamin B6 can improve the synthesis of serotonin, and a lack of it may cause depression and insomnia. They also claim it may help cure these conditions, though no scientific evidence backs up these claims; many doctors dispute the validity of these claims. According to numerous health organizations, vitamin B6--or any vitamins--have never been shown to affect or "cure" insomnia; no scientific evidence exists that it can improve the symptoms of insomnia. None of SleepFix's other ingredients have been shown to affect insomnia either.
