What is it?

Superior Joint Support is a medicated spray that has been reportedly shown to quickly reduce the joint pain caused by osteoarthritis, a common form of arthritis. It also claims to be the only medicated spray recommended by orthopedic surgeons to specifically reduce the stiffness, swelling and tenderness associated with osteoarthritis, though it does not claim to treat or cure the disease. As for its ingredients, this spray doesn't contain any synthetic medications--it only contains herbs and extracts they claim have been proven to improve joint function.

What ingredients does Neo Flex contain?

Superior Joint Support contains peppermint leaf, scullcap herb, Devil's Claw root, turmeric herb, mullein leaf, burdock root and Oregon grape root.

Do the ingredients in Neo Flex help improve joint health?

According to recent evidence, it may slightly reduce back, neck, shoulder and joint pain. A recent study published by the journal Rheumatology showed that using Devil's claw for 6 weeks helped reduce pain specifically in the lower back, and was as effective as a popular back pain medication at reducing pain, called Vioxx. A osteoarthritis study published in the journal Joint Bone Spine also showed that Devil's claw extract worked as effectively as diacerhein, an European osteoarthritis drug, for relieving pain and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis of the knee and hip. Unfortunately, follow-up studies show that the osteoarthritis drug diacerhein was ineffective for the treatment of osteoarthritis. Superior Joint Relief does not contain any other ingredients shown to effectively reduce or prevent joint pain.

Is Neo Flex safe?

It may contain some minor side effects. Common side effects include stomach upset, cramping, and mild diarrhea, which may or may not be accompanied by headache. Devil's Claw root may also worsen the effects of gastric or duodenal ulcers. People with these conditions should not take this supplement.

Verdict:

There isn't enough proof that Superior Joint Support can help treat joint pain, though there is some evidence it can treat muscular and back pain.
