Hydraplenish is an all-natural supplement that claims to improve the health of the skin, joints and the connective tissue, which can reportedly lower the risk for arthritis and premature aging. This supplement differs from other supplement due to its inclusion of BioCell Collagen II, a patented collagen complex they claim is proven to maintain the healthy connective tissue and synovial fluid surrounding the joints. Experts claim that healthy connective tissue can reduce inflammation and joint pain, common conditions caused by the breakdown of cartilage—a condition that could eventually lead to arthritis.
Hydraplenish contains BioCell Collage II, a proprietary blend of hydrolyzed collagen type II, chondroitin sulfate and hyaluronic acid.
It could, but its effects are limited. According to a 2010 report by Northwestern University, collagen type II supplements may be able to replace cartilage lost or reduced by arthritis, a common joint- degenerating disorder--but the catch here is these cartilage-replacing supplements are still being developed in labs and are still undergoing animal testing. It is highly unlikely Hydraplenish contains the exact formula currently being developed by scientists to replace cartilage loss caused by arthritis. Hyaluronic acid and chondroitin have not been shown to have a significant impact on joint pain either, although a glucosamine-chondroitin complex has been shown to reduce joint pain associated with osteoarthritis.
Although ineffective, the ingredients in Hydraplenish have been shown to be clinically safe for regular use. Like all supplements, however, Hydraplenish is not safe for pregnant or breast-feeding women, as the supplement's ingredients can transfer to the fetus or breast milk.
Although it claims to improve the health of the joints, there isn't enough evidence the ingredients in Hydraplenish can. However, it is clinically safe for regular use.
