Animal Flex is a joint supplement by Universal Nutrition. Instead of being in a bottle, it comes in a canister with packs of 8 pills you consume on a daily basis.
Animal Flex is actually one of the better supplements we examined. It has most of the ingredients we were looking for including: glucosamine HCl, chondroitin, MSM, boswellic acd, CMO, curcumin, and hyaluronic acid.
Unfortunately it does not have boron, one of the most important elements for arthritis.
Also, the boswellic acid and the CMO are of questionable quality. The cetyl myristoleate is a mixture of cetylated fatty acids and not just cetyl myristoleate. The boswellic acid is not 5-LOXIN which is standardized for AKBA, the most active ingredient in boswellic acid.
We found no artificial dyes or other dangerous chemicals in Animal Flex.
